Lucy said,

Yes. In the couple of years leading up to me becoming a Christian, a number of pretty sucky things happened (moved interstate, parent’s divorce, medical issues etc), all of which really really changed who i was. I have no doubt if all of that hadn’t happened, i’d be a very different lucy, Christian or not.

Hi Lorien,
Good idea for a challenge!
By the way - I enjoy you singing at TAC on Sunday nights - you enjoy praising God! I especially like it when you use the tamberine.
Lorien said,

Thanks Priscilla, I love singing in Church. Actually, I love singing anywhere, but praising God seems to make it even more worthwhile!
Ok, now for the challenge:
1. I’ll respond with something random about you
You have the kind of dog that you could carry in a handbag. Very cute.
2. I’ll challenge you to try something
Learn to play the basson. We need more basoon in our church band!
3. I’ll pick a colour that I associate with you
Purple
4. I’ll tell you something I like about you
You’re friendly and easy to talk to.
5. I’ll tell you my first/clearest memory of you

6. I’ll tell you what animal you remind me of
A tall, fluffy bird. I don’t know why.
7. I’ll ask you something I’ve always (or maybe for about three minutes) wanted to ask you
If you could pursue any career in the world, what would be your ideal job?
There you go!

Hi Melody!
I would love to respond to your comment, but as i have absolutely no idea who you are, it’s tricky!
My first memory of you is: seeing your name on my computer screen about 39 seconds ago!
I challenge you to: try your hand at yak milking in Mongolia.
And your name reminds me of pink, so I guess that’s the colour I associate with you.
I’ve always wanted to ask you…who are you? How did you come across my long neglected website?

Hi Lorien,
Long time no visit to your site. Thankyou for your comments. I guess you know me a little better now than a few months ago. I smiled when I read that you thought I reminded you of a tall, fluffy bird - does it have anything to do with me wearing my black poncho to church sometimes. I always feel like I’ve killed a muppet when I wear it.
A bassoon - yep - that’s a challenge - you find one for me and I’ll give it a go!
My ideal job would be working at a zoo in the education department. I did work at Taronga Zoo whilst at university and absolutely loved it - children and animals together are totally unpredictable and never boring. The children who come are with their own teachers and so you don’t really have to deal with discipline issues and they are always interested in what you have to say as it’s different to just staying at school. It also cuts down on the lesson preparation when you have a set structure planned for school groups.
And now a challenge for you - what would be a job that you would not do for any amount of money?
Lorien said,
October 31, 2006 at 9:12 pm
That sounds like an excellent job…you would be good at it.
A job which I would never do…um…there are several: Prostitution, being an executioner (or any job requiring killing people - hitwoman, abortion doctor etc.) and it would take a ridiculous amount of money to pursuade me to go into poliics or working with spiders.
