The end times

It is with a mild feeling of trepidation that I report that today is the last weekday of holidays before uni starts back again. I am fully aware that after three months break, I have no cause to complain, but something tells me it’s going to be an interesting transition back from my fairy tale into the real world. Ben and I have been fortunate to have so much free time following our wedding in which to relax and get used to living together and looking after ourselves. It’s been great, and relaxing and I feel thoroughly settled and rested, which, I suppose, is the best way to start the uni year. And I am starting to feel like I should be doing somthing useful. Since I moved and semi-quit my old job, and since the new job hasn’t worked out yet, and since moving churches and thus ending my old ministry commitments, I have started to feel like I should be putting myself to use or getting exceedingly busy like I have been for the last however many years. I like the break, but it just feels a little unnatural.
So, I feel like something has to give, and I suspect it will start to do so from next Monday.
Yesterday was a day for breaking things. Our car broke. Our lighting circut broke. The car is presently at the mechanic being fixed, but I havn’t heard from the sparky yet. Thankfully, although none of the ceiling lights are working, we have numerous lamps and plug in fans which still give us light and breeze. It is pretty warm today.
Tomorrow my parents, sister, brother, brother’s girlfriend, Ben and I are piling into my parents van and heading up the coast to visit my grandparents. I always look forward to going up there because I am deeply attached to that house (and my grandparents!), and I havn’t been there for ages. I think it’s Grandma’s birthday celebration or something.
Ben and I have finished the Two Towers. Finally we can watch the second DVD.

Uni’s started again. It’s a plague. We should kill it before it spreads.
I hope your car made it there this morning without any mishaps!
